The topic my group made for the digital poster was copyright. I feel like copy right is very important to us as teachers. We need to be able to teach students how to not copy right and how copy right is can be used properly. We need to encourage students to use copyright properly. I feel while making the digital poster for teachers we could also share this poster with the students because they are just as responsible for copy right as the teachers.

In case 2 we had to plan a lesson for college mentor for kids Students. The biggest take away I got from this lesson was you may need a lesson plan for somewhere other than the classroom during, or school times. You may also have to plan that lesson plan outside a classroom. I learned that this lesson plan will need more activity than a lesson in the classroom, because these students have been stuck in a class for 8 hours and they want fun activities that get some energy out. Before starting the lesson plan my group and I used a web 2.0 tool to plan our lesson plan. We used Lino. I really liked Lino because it was virtual sticky notes, everyone added their input on a sticky note. We all started out by adding our ideas and then we categorized the ideas we liked in a circle. I thought this was a good tool because each though you had could go on a different sticky note. You could add as many ideas as you wanted and others were able to see the ideas right away. This was very helpful tool and I plan to use it again someday. Below is a picture of what my group created on Lino. The lesson plan we created in the end I feel was really strong. I feel like it taught the students the concept we were trying to teach them. I feel my lesson plan was strong because it was only teaching the student’s one topic and we had one all connected lesson. I feel the student will learn the topic of graphing from our lesson. Although I feel my lesson plan was strong in order to make it better I could add more activities that get the students up and get them moving around more. I feel this would get the students even more engaged. I had a great time with this lesson plan and learned a lot more about creating lesson plans and planning tools.
Today I was introduced to a new technology called the Alpha smart. The Alpha smart is pretty much a keyboard and a screen. You can type on it and see what you are typing on the screen. This technology would be good in a classroom because students could take notes on the Alpha Smart and not be able to get distracted by access to the internet. This could also be a good tool for the classroom because students can type up papers, or responses and then either print it from the Alpha Smart or email it to the teacher. The Alpha smart could also not be a good tool for the classroom because if they are dead then they need to be plugged in which limits where the student can use the tool. Also on the first page there was a lot of different tools. Students could get confused on which tool to use. In the long run I believe the Alpha Smart is a good tool for the classroom. It will allow students to use technology but not get distracted by all the other gadgets the IPads and computers have.
